Examples of The Savanna's beneficial plants
The Senegal gun acacia is a small to average sized thorn tree in the African grassland Savanna.
Bermuda grass grows in open areas where there are frequent disturbances such as grazing and fires. In the warmer more tropical part of the Savanna the grass will be green all year round, but in the other parts, the grass wil turn brown when the temperature decreases.
Elephant grass grows in dense clumps up to 10 feet tall. This grass feeds many animals.
One of the most recognized trees in the Savanna. It can survive 122 degrees in the day and freezing temperatures at night.
The Manketti trees prefer hot and dry climates with very few rainfall. It usually grows to the height between 49 to 66 feet tall.
